I got bored (what else is new) and wanted to try a new style. One of my favorite deviants here is Orioto, and I wanted to emulate his style. Note that this is a photo-to-painting piece (tracing,stroking, filtering of original picture).

I did something similarily like this, but I don't have the permission yet (of the subject) to put it online 
It was really good though ^^ i ended up self-painting her eyes from scratch which i'm really proud of.
I'll have to look up your mentor (orioto?) the lighting is very perfectly captured and illuminated here
